What is FIFA quality system.

With the popularization of football to the world, the artificial grass is more often used in football field, because it’s weather fastness and all weather features are better than real lawn. So FIFA started to introduce FIFA quality system to artificial grass area. Since 2001, there has been an internationally recognized and reliable quality standard for the artificial grass field, and will mark “ FIFA quality” for this field. FIFA marked field reaches a high level of quality, safety, so it protects athletes well. Also it solves the problem of how high-end users to choose artificial grass.

FIFA quality levels

After professional test, the scores will recognize artificial grass fields to different levels.

>=85 ,professional training field, can be used for professional training.

>=90, professional competition field, can host international professional events. 

Only when scores are >=90, it can be issued the certification as professional competition field.

  There are “FIFA quality” and “ FIFA quality pro”, these two kinds of certifications. 

“FIFA quality pro” fields can be host all FIFA final stage competition and highest-level UEFA competition.

“FIFA quality” fields can be host FIFA primary stage competition and other games.

FIFA quality testing

All the test will be done by FIFA authorized organization- Labosport, who is recognized the most authoritative organization in sports fields industry. The test will be divided into two stages: Laboratory test (first stage) and field test (second stage). The order can’t be mixed.

Laboratory test including product identification, durability, weather resistance, player and turf interaction, ball and turf interaction. And field test including product identification, field structure, player and turf interaction, ball and turf interaction.
